Taylor Performs Rare ‘Superman’ in Concert!

Taylor performed ‘Superman,’ a rare track from the deluxe edition of her current album ‘Speak Now,’ for the very first time in concert last night (Sept. 24) in Kansas City, Mo., during a special solo acoustic segment.

“This is the part of the show where I have an acoustic guitar, and I can kinda do whatever I want with it,” Swift announced while strumming, before setting the crowd off into a high-pitched frenzy by asking, “I kind of want to play a song for you that I’ve never played before, if that’s OK?”
She set the stage a bit more by explaining, “This is about, well a guy, as usual. This was a guy that I was sort of enamored with.  This song got its title but something that I just said randomly in conversation, (when) he walked out of the room, I turned to one of my friends and said, ‘it’s like watching Superman fly away’”

She then launched into the gentle, slightly melancholy tune (featuring, of course, a big arena-ready sing-along chorus), and despite the fact that this track is only available on the deluxe, Target-exclusive edition of ‘Speak Now,’ a good deal of the crowd was quickly singing along with Swift.

I love that song, wish I coulda been there! :D

Taylor, like you, I have naturally curly hair. What technique do you use to curl your hair into perfect ringlets? Taylor to Perform at 2011 CMA Awards!

Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton to Perform at 2011 CMA Awards on November 9th.

In another news, Taylor Swift recently received the Jim Reeves International Award from the Academy of Country Music in Nashville on Monday night, September 19. "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to study something I wanted to learn about, which is country music," so the 21-year-old songstress said at the end of her acceptance speech. 

Taylor wins Jim Reeves Country Award!

She has won Grammy's, MTV Awards, Country Music Awards and even a Country Music Association Award,

and last night Taylor added another gold statue to her growing collection.... 

Taylor picked up the Jim Reeves International Award at the Academy Of Country Music Awards!

Taylor Thrills Crowds with Tim Mcgraw & Kenny Chesney!

Taylor thrilled fans at her Nashville concerts by inviting Hayley Williams, Tim Mcgraw and Kenny Chesney on stage for duets this weekend (16-17 Sep).

In a post on her Twitter.com page after the opening gig, she wrote, "Nashville, night one - what a beautiful crowd! And thank you to (Williams) and Ronnie Dunn for coming out and singing/being awesome."

Taylor has 2 spots in the Guinness Book of World Records!

Taylor can now lay claim to possessing two Guinness Book of World Records accolades in 2012. All of this at the age of 21, too! Congratulations, Taylor, on becoming a Guinness World Record holder!

So which achievements do Taylor’s two Guinness Book of World Records mentions pertain to? Fastest Selling Digital Album by a Female Artist, thanks to the brisk sales clip at which ‘Speak Now’ moved; the album sold 278,000 digital versions in November 2010. The other world record is for the Most Simultaneous U.S. Hot 100 Hits by a Female Artist, as the singer has enjoyed 11 back-to-back singles on the charts.

Well done Taylor! Another reason to be a proud Swifty!!

Taylor loves cooking!

Taylor is currently obsessed with cooking at the moment!

“Right now I’m obsessed with cooking, so I’ve been getting all kinds of cookbooks,” she said. “Everybody knows, all of my friends know, that I love to cook, and so I have this entire bookshelf full of cookbooks in my place.
“I really love reading Barefoot Contessa cookbooks.
“And you know when you go into the stores and there’s [books like] ‘How To Make Great Sandwiches’ and you’re [thinking], ‘who buys those?’ I buy those! I see a book of ‘100 Ways to Make Cupcakes.’ I buy that.
“Basically anything that I can get from a cookbook and then improvise with, I’ll get the basic recipe from a cookbook and get the idea for it and then I’ll just [think], ‘oh, I wonder what would happen if I add this to it?’”

I'm totally the same, I love baking and cooking!

Taylor Leads Country Nominations!

Taylor is in the lead with five nominations along with Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, and Brad Paisley. All four country artists are also up for Entertainer of the Year Award. Swift will also go up against Shelton’s wife Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, and Carrie Underwood for Female Vocalist of the Year.
Taylor Swift shared a message full of gratitude for her fans on Twitter:

“Thanks to you guys and the CMA voters, we got 5 CMA NOMINATIONS THIS MORNING!!! I am flipping out!!!

Taylor wanted to be Stock broker!

Taylor wanted to be a stock broker before venturing into music.

‘Ever since I was a little kid… my dad has been telling me to save my money or invest in utilities… ’cause my dad is a stock broker. And he lives and breathes it. My dad is so passionate about what he does, like in the way that I’m passionate about music…,’ contactmusic.com quoted Swift as saying.

‘So I didn’t know what a stock broker was when I was eight but I would just tell everybody that’s what I was going to be. We’d be at, like, the first day of school and they’re (the teachers were) like, ‘So what do you guys want to be when you grow up?’ And everybody’s like, ‘I want to be an astronaut.’ Or like, ‘I want to be a ballerina.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m gonna be a financial advisor.’ I don’t know… I just saw how happy it made him and I just thought, like, ‘I can broke stocks.”

But we're glad she didn't follow that path!

Taylor releases fragrance, Wonderstruck!

Taylor is one busy lady! She is a Jane of all trades with the singing, acting, and working as a Covergirl spokesperson; now she can add fragrance connoisseur to her resume!

Taylor has unveiled the look of her new fragrance Wonderstruck in what appears to be a very princess like ad! It’s no surprise that the wholesome songstress would choose a fairy tale theme and by the sounds of it, it’s just as romantic smelling.

The fragrance named after the lyric ‘I’m wonderstruck blushing all the way home’ from her song ‘Enchanted’ reflects the impression someone has upon meeting you.
Taylor says, “A fragrance can help shape someone’s first impression and memory of you. It’s exciting to think that Wonderstruck will play a role in creating some of those memories.”
